Unbelievably, Frankenmuth Brewery has been going strong since 1862, and it happens to be the second oldest brewery in the entire country. This is in fact the home of Michigan's original craft beer, so if you're looking to visit the heart of it all, this is it! Michigan's Little Bavaria, Frankenmuth, is of course the center of it all, and we can't imagine a more pleasant town to visit when you are craving some exceptional beers. They've got free beer tours that explain the whole process, and a retail store where you can get six packs and growlers too. When the weather is warm, you'll enjoy the outdoor seating here, right on the water, on three different decks. A wonderful time all around!
